delayed gratification.

October 29, 2012

I realize I’ve been delinquent in my blogging. A lot of has happened in our lives in the past two months. Some of it is public knowledge, some of it you’ll have to stayed tuned to find out.

Announcement number 1:

We are having baby numero dos.

I know, I know. You’re thinking, “Uhm, didn’t they just have the first one. Why another one so soon?” Well, because God has a sense of humor whenever we have plans He has other ones. Apparently, this baby is supposed to be BFFF’s with his/her brother, Jack. Jack has no idea what’s going on and probably won’t for a couple of years when he’s like, “Whoa! Who the hell are you and when did you get here?” I think that’s the way it is with most siblings. Needless to say, we are so excited to welcome another baby into the house and share the love. Although, most people are terrified at the thought of me being pregnant again.

Baby dos has also hospitalized me. As I type this, I am a patient in my own hospital. Which is mortifying and comforting at the same time. I’m humiliated that I had to A) be a patient in my own ER and B) be admitted to the hospital for pregnancy (amongst other things) related symptoms. My body really can’t handle any food or fluids and decided to tell me when enough was enough by dumping ketones in my urine and sending me some other warning signs. It’s comforting to know the people caring for me. They’re the absolute best in the business and I’m blessed to be taken care of here. So, even though I am a horrible patient, I am trying my hardest to be a good one.

To make myself feel better about being in the hospital here are some photos of our recent trip to Hawaii. Enjoy.
